Certification Details

 The experience I've gained over the last 30+ years provides a wealth of knowledge and a development of a wide-ranging skill set from which I support my clients.  The last 20 years as an entrepreneur have been an invaluable learning experience. These certifications simply validate this knowledge through rigorous testing. 

The Harvard Business School Online 35-hour course online certificate program from Harvard Business School. Business Strategy equips professionals with a simplified framework they can immediately apply to create value for customers, employees, and suppliers while maximizing returns and an organization’s competitive edge. Participants learn to evaluate trade-offs and align, prioritize, and formulate strategic initiatives for the greatest business impact. 

The Semrush SEO Course with Brian Dean is a quick test to validate my knowledge of SEO as it pertains to content creation and website placement in searches. The key takeaway is SEO is more of an art than a science. SEO is a lot of work. Organic traffic is #1 but so is individual ranking keywords clicks and impressions. Getting the right mix of untapped keywords, thorough market research, cleverly creating content (like SEO Titles/Headers), using backlinks (link building), and the importance of tracking results in order to make changes that will improve SEO, and to avoid interfering with is working.

The OM (Organizational Management) is also given in a locked and monitored room and covered several hours of testing on the topics of Organizational Behavior, Compelling Communication, Effective Teamwork Skills, and Strategic Planning. This certification validates my ability to manage, plan, and collaborate with a team.

The CAP (Certified Administrative Professional) certification is given in a locked and monitored room and is several hours long. The body of knowledge covered is Organizational Communication, Business Writing and Document Production, Technology and Information Distribution, Office and Records Management, Event and Project Management, and Operational Functions. This is not a test for novices. Many do not pass it. An advanced level of business administration knowledge is required to pass.
